The part you see depends on the part you don't.
Design
Layout, glass, racking, and lighting are drawn together, with the bottle count and where the cooling will vent settled early.
Envelope
Insulation, a vapor barrier, sealed penetrations, and the cooling and condensate line go in while the walls are open.
Finish
Glass, racking, and lighting go up last, aligned to the room, with the same eye for detail as our custom homes.
Before you plan one.
Can a closet, nook, or space under the stairs become a wine room?
Often, yes. The wine room on this page started as an empty window nook. What matters is where the space sits in the house, whether a cooling unit can vent, and how the glass and racking fit. We look at that on a walk of the house before anything is drawn.
Does a wine room need its own cooling?
A sealed room meant to store wine long term needs dedicated cooling, insulation, and a vapor barrier, all built in before the racking goes up. A display wall in the open, conditioned part of the house may not. We tell you which one your plan is before it is priced.
Can a wine room be added during a larger renovation?
Yes. Building it alongside a kitchen, bar, or whole-home remodel is often the simplest time, because the walls are already open for the electrical, the condensate line, and the cooling.
